Summary of tomorrow’s rain-to-snow

A winter weather advisory is in effect for metro Richmond, Henrico, Powhatan, and Goochland (and areas south) and a winter storm warning is in effect for Hanover and areas north until Thursday evening. Rain tomorrow morning should transition to sleet, then snow around or shortly after noon, and temperatures will fall into the afternoon and evening. Even though snow accumulations will not be major, snow will stick to the roads and cause hazardous driving conditions.

Friday will be very chilly with highs barely getting above freezing, but a major pattern change is on the way that may signal the end of the worst of winter.
