Scattered showers will continue on and off over through Friday with temperatures holding steady in the mid 60s to low 70s. The Storm Prediction Center is highlighting Friday for a slight chance (15% probability) for strong to severe thunderstorms in the afternoon/early evening time frame. Damaging winds and isolated hail appear to be the main threats. The forecast discussion from SPC, however, notes that the severe threat would depend on how much sunlight can break out after morning showers to heat and destabilize the atmosphere. So for now, the risk is slight but I will keep an eye on it.
The weekend is looking mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the low 70s.
