Another round of severe storms is looking likely again this evening. The Storm Prediction Center is monitoring a weak frontal boundary moving east out of West Virginia, into favorable conditions for strong storms across central and northern Virginia. A severe thunderstorm watch may be issued soon, as any storms we see could produce damaging wind gusts to 60 mph and hail. The timing appears to be between 6pm and 11pm.
Looking ahead, relief from the heat is in sight, with highs only in the 70s next weekend and into early next week!
