But in short: A moderate to strong El Nino event will likely bring above normal precip to the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, with no clear signal in either direction regarding temperatures (essentially, about average temperatures likely punctuated by our normal short spells of warmer and colder weather)
From everything that I’ve looked at, I mostly agree with NOAA’s assessment for this upcoming winter, but I’d go a bit further and say that there is a high likelihood of more decent snows and winter storms.
