Calmer week ahead

I was looking forward to a little break from forecasting after the craziness of this winter storm, but, the weather never stops. This week should be a lot quieter, with mostly sunny skies through Thursday and highs in the mid 40s, maybe a few 50s. On Thursday evening, low pressure moves up the coast from the Gulf of Mexico bringing rain to the area on Friday. The cold air should hold off until the rain is moving out, so at this time, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll have an issue with wintry precip. *IF* some cold air can get here before all the rain departs, there could be a period of light snow that would only amount to a dusting. Either way, we are NOT looking at a repeat of this past weekend by any stretch.
