Just a quick update for the rest of today into tomorrow:
- Areas along and west of 95 will stay all snow through tomorrow afternoon/evening
- Areas just east and southeast of Richmond will likely change over to a period of sleet and/or freezing rain sometime this evening and overnight, before returning to snow mid or late morning tomorrow.
- Sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning there will be a lull in the precip (that dry slot I mentioned earlier); snow could become light or even stop for several hours, but then snow resumes with the “wrap around” moisture on the tail end of this system; how much additional accumulation isn’t clear.
- The whole show comes to an end late Saturday night/early Sunday morning; temperatures will be above freezing to start the new week (in the 40s) with sunshine so that should aid in melting some of the snow
