Cover those plants! Chilly nighttime temps ahead

The temperature forecast this week is why I always caution people to not plant their tomatoes and peppers too soon. Our average last frost date for our area is April 15th, but cool spells (even without frost) can still occur into early May.

Overnight lows this week will dip into the upper 30s (west of 95) and low 40s (Richmond and areas east) Sunday night through Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. We’ll stay dry until Wednesday when a few light showers are possible.
