Looking ahead to the rest of the week, our next system arrives Wednesday into Thursday with plain old rain (and highs reaching into the 60s!) then colder air pushing in behind the front and changing the rain to sleet, then possibly some snow Thursday morning. Any accumulations from the sleet/snow would NOT likely be like what we saw from the last two storms, thanks to the warm rain that would fall ahead of it and the fact that the cold air would be moving in from behind, as the bulk of the moisture is moving out.
Some good news for those of us (probably a lot of us by this point) who are ready for spring, there are growing signs of a pattern change ahead that could bring a very nice mild spell for mid-March.
