Tropics heating up with a 2nd system on the way

First things first, we’ll be mostly sunny again today with a touch of humidity and a slight chance for a few scattered afternoon/evening storms.

Most of the weather action remains in the tropics, where Danny is still hanging in there as it approaches the Lesser Antilles. Danny should kick the bucket sometime in the next 48-72 hours as it moves over the islands. Further out in the Atlantic, we’re watching another tropical low pressure that models say will becoming our next system. This one is looking like it will take roughly the same path as Danny, but holds more potential for strengthening.

In any case, neither system is a threat to the U.S., at least for now.
