Rain will begin overspreading the state later tonight/early tomorrow morning, and continue off and on through Wednesday evening, with the bulk of the rain occurring Tuesday mid-morning and then again Wednesday afternoon. There is also a slight risk of strong thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon as the cold front moves through on the heels of very mild, moist air. If we see enough sunshine Wednesday, then there is a good possibility of thunderstorms that evening that could produce heavy rain, strong winds, and isolated hail. If, however, skies remain mostly cloudy, then that puts a cap on any potential severe weather.
Temperatures cool down again after hitting the mid 60s, maybe even some low 70s on Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies to end the week.
