Over the last 24 hours, tropical depression nine FINALLY got its act together and became Tropical Storm Hermine. With the improved storm structure, models have gotten a much better handle on this system. As a result, the track has (not surprisingly) shifted, noticeably to the west. This means a good rain now even for inland areas of the Carolinas and Virginia, as much as 3 to 5” possible by Sunday evening. As of now, the timing would be such that it would be out of here just in time for Labor Day Monday, but the weekend is unfortunately looking like a washout.
