First taste of winter weather soon?

As I mentioned a few days ago, I’ve been keeping an eye on the possibility of some pre-dawn icing this coming Saturday. But it appears now that that threat will be limited to areas north of 64 and west of 95, and only for a few hours before temperatures warm into the low 40s by mid-morning, so any ice would change over to rain.

Beyond the weekend, another chance for some icy precipitation is possible on Monday, with very cold air firmly entrenched and another system moving through that would spread light rain over this layer of cold air at the surface. This is *NOT* in stone just yet…I’d like to see other models show this possibility. More updates in the coming days.
